Through INMED’s MotherNet perinatal home visiting programs in Compton, California and Loudoun County, Virginia, children are closely monitored to ensure that they remain up-to-date on all recommended immunizations. In the most recently completed program year, 100% of children in Loudoun and 98% of children in Compton were fully immunized as age-appropriate—a remarkable achievement compared to immunization rates in both areas.
In addition, in Compton and the surrounding communities of South Los Angeles County, INMED is a member of the African-American Immunization

Collaborative Project, an initiative funded by the California Department of Health Services. This program works to increase poor immunization rates among African-American children under age 3 in several medically
underserved zip code areas through a combination of community outreach, education and case management. Between 2004-2007, this project increased immunization rates in these areas from 47% to 74%.
Children are also immunized free of charge through community health fairs in Compton, including the annual Back-to-School Immunization Campaign. Since 2001, these campaigns have provided vaccines to hundreds at-risk children and conducted more than 5,000 preventive health screenings for adults.
